Commercial Solution Engineer - Expansion

In this role you will bridge technical capabilities and business value for Snowflake’s UK customers. You’ll collaborate with sales and partners to understand customer needs, guide evaluations, and help win by translating Snowflake features into concrete business solutions. You will present Snowflake’s vision to executives and technical teams, and lead hands-on demos, POCs, and architecture discussions. You’ll stay at the cutting edge of data technology and work with cross-functional teams to improve products and customer success. This role offers impact through solving complex data challenges at scale and shaping how customers leverage Snowflake to accelerate outcomes.

• Present Snowflake’s technology and vision to executives and technical contributors in prospects and customers
• Lead hands-on demonstrations and communicate value across sales cycles (demo, proof of concept, design, implementation)
• Develop technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve a technical win
• Stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake technology and position roadmap features to customers
• Maintain deep understanding of competing technologies and position Snowflake accordingly
• Collaborate with other sales engineers to learn from wins and losses
• Coordinate with Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to improve products and marketing
• Represent Snowflake at industry or customer events
• Work with ecosystem and implementation partners to build joint architectures and account strategies to help customers succeed

• Sales engineering/solution architect experience in a SaaS environment or relevant analytics/data engineering background
• Outstanding presentation skills for technical and executive audiences
• Understanding of data architecture, data analytics and cloud technology
• Hands-on experience with SQL
• Ability to translate customer problems into Snowflake-based solutions
• Strong customer-facing communication skills (written and verbal)
