Construction Accounting Supervisor

Lead construction accounting for Ed Seguin & Sons in Northeastern Ontario, using bookkeeping expertise and project accounting knowledge in a hands-on role.

Reporting to the General Manager, this Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting processes while remaining hands-on. The work covers accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, job costing, and office administration. You will serve as the primary internal accounting resource.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee accounts payable and receivable transactions and supporting documentation
• Maintain general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Coordinate month-end close and financial reporting activities
• Support job costing, progress billing, and project close-outs
• Maintain procedures, controls, permits, and regulatory reporting

Requirements:

• At least five years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience
• Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger work
• Construction or project accounting and job costing knowledge preferred
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar software and Microsoft Excel
• Accounting diploma or related education; bookkeeping certification is an asset
