Construction Project Accountant

Construction accounting expertise drives this Project Accountant role at Kindred HQ. Manage project financials, billings, invoices, and reconciliations.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the Project Accountant supports assigned construction projects and their teams. The role requires construction accounting experience, advanced MS Word and Excel skills, and accounting software familiarity. You will work with Finance colleagues, Project Managers, trades, and suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support assigned project portfolios and teams on financial matters
• Issue monthly or required client progress billings
• Review project budgets, fee structures, and work in progress
• Manage vendor invoices and prepare pre-billing reports
• Process holdback reconciliations and project closeout procedures

Requirements:

• Post-secondary accounting degree or diploma
• Five or more years of construction accounting experience
• Advanced computer skills with MS Word and MS Excel proficiency
• Excellent problem-solving skills and accounting software familiarity
• Ability to organize workloads independently and collaborate effectively
