Consumer Loan Underwriter

Evaluating loan applications for quality and accuracy, the full-time Consumer Loan Underwriter I will make loan decisions remotely while supporting contact center representatives and ensuring compliance with client institution guidelines. Key responsibilities: Evaluate and decision loan applications based on credit history and institutional guidelines Monitor the quality and efficiency of loan applications processed by contact center representatives Provide support and training for contact center representatives regarding lending questions and new technology Required qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree preferred 1 year of experience as a Lending Underwriter required 1 year of experience in a loan contact center position preferred Knowledge of lending underwriting best practices and loan application processing Familiarity with multiple loan origination systems and credit bureau information interpretation
