Control System Senior Design Engineer

Overview
In this role you lead a team of PES-based control system design engineers within the Silos MSSS SEP1/2 CE&I team to deliver and verify designs that meet functional and business needs. You collaborate with cross-functional partners to plan, estimate, and track design work, and you provide design assurance support across procurement, integration, installation and commissioning. This position combines technical leadership with rigorous design review to ensure safety and performance in high-regulated environments.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate PES-based control system design activities and reviews to meet project goals
- Communicate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Develop programmes and estimates to support planning and tasking
- Prioritize and assign work across the design team
- Review and challenge control system requirements to ensure compliance
- Deliver designs to challenging targets and report progress
- Contribute to design assurance tactics and formal reviews
- Provide design support during Procurement/System Integration
- Provide design support during Installation and during Commissioning
- HNC (Essential)
- Incorporated Engineer (Essential)
- SC security clearance (Essential)
- BEng (Desirable)
- Chartered Engineer (Desirable)
- Minimum 7 years delivering PES-based control system lead design on SL multidisciplinary projects (Essential)
- Experience producing detailed design packages (drawings, concise specifications, installation statements, CDM risk assessments) (Essential)
- Experience with PES-based control system/servo drive interfaces (Essential)
