I'm partnering with a fast-growing company to find its first true Controller . You'd own accounting in-house and turn manual, founder-led processes into a scalable, well-controlled finance function. If you like building from scratch more than maintaining what someone else built, keep reading.

What you'll do:

✅ Own accounting operations end to end as the company scales

✅ Design and implement spend systems from the ground up: AP, procurement, expense management, purchasing approvals, vendor commitments and spend reporting

✅ Move the organization from manual or founder-led processes to a scalable, controlled accounting function

✅ Lead technical accounting, including financial reporting, revenue recognition, accruals, capitalization and equity

✅ Automate workflows and processes to scale efficiently

✅ Partner with leadership on financial modeling, forecasting and investment analysis

What you bring:

6–12 years of experience as an accountant or controller

Active CPA license (required)

In-house experience owning accounting at a high-growth, scaling company

A track record of building accounting processes and spend systems from scratch

Experience standing up an accounting function or maturing one beyond founder-led processes

Strong technical accounting skills across rev rec, accruals, capitalization and equity

Hands-on experience with workflow or process automation

Financial modeling, forecasting and investment analysis skills
