Addison Group has partnered with a multi-billion dollar global medical manufacturing compan y to find a Controller. This highly visible leadership role will oversee the organization’s Accounting and Finance functions while partnering closely with executive leadership and international teams.

This position offers a hybrid work schedule in Schaumburg, IL with employees in office Tuesday–Thursday every other week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end accounting function, including monthly and quarterly close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and accounting operations
  • Oversee accounts receivable, including collections, invoicing, cash application, and related performance metrics
  • Maintain a strong internal control environment and ensure compliance with SOX and corporate accounting policies
  • Partner with executive leadership on financial results, key risks, business performance, and strategic initiatives
  • Serve as a key liaison between U.S. operations, international teams, corporate headquarters, and shared-service functions
  • Partner closely with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, outlooks, and long-range planning
  • Establish and monitor key accounting and AR metrics, including DSO, close-cycle time, invoice accuracy, and collections performance
  • Lead process improvement initiatives to strengthen controls, increase efficiency, and transition additional accounting responsibilities in-house
  • Develop and lead the Accounting and Finance team

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of progressive Accounting and Finance experience
  • Strong experience leading end-to-end accounting operations, including financial close, AR, reporting, and internal controls
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting policy; IFRS experience is a plus
  • Experience working within a global, matrixed organization and partnering with international teams
  • Strong SOX/internal controls experience
  • Proven ability to lead process improvements and drive change within an accounting organization
  • Strong executive presence with excellent communication, leadership, and presentation skills
  • CPA preferred

Compensation:

  • $175,000 - $200,000 base salary
  • 30% annual bonus potential
