Conversational AI Backend Engineer

This intermediate Backend Software Engineer works within Platform Engineering on conversational AI infrastructure. The hybrid assignment requires three onsite days weekly at the Canadian headquarters. It begins as an 8-month T4 contract with extension potential, focusing on high-volume production services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build backend services coordinating applications and LLMs
• Develop routing for intelligent conversational workflows
• Maintain persistence layers for expert assistance tools
• Store dialogue histories in scalable relational schemas
• Collaborate across teams through production deployment

Requirements:

• Five or more years of backend software development
• Strong professional Java development background
• Kotlin microservices experience or willingness to develop it
• SQL and relational database design proficiency
• Experience delivering low-latency, reliable platform services
