Core AI Engineering Manager

As Engineering Manager for the Core AI team, you will shape the platform underpinning AI work across the firm. You’ll align infrastructure roadmaps with the firm’s AI strategy and mentor a product-focused engineering team. You’ll influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of developer tools and secure environments. This role blends scale, security, and open-source collaboration to accelerate research and business impact. You will lead with clarity, delivering measurable platform capability for autonomous AI agents and model serving.

• Drive the Core AI infrastructure roadmap aligned with the firm’s AI strategy
• Lead build-versus-buy decisions for model serving and inference infrastructure
• Design and own a centralized MCP gateway in collaboration with platform teams
• Collaborate with open-source group to guide feature development priorities
• Define secure sandboxing approaches for autonomous AI agents
• Lead and mentor a team of product-focused engineers
• Drive developer adoption through SDKs, documentation and self-service tooling

• Proven experience leading large-scale platform or infrastructure initiatives
• Strong communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders
• Expert C# and Python skills with experience building distributed systems
• Deep Kubernetes expertise, including operators, custom schedulers and multi-tenant management
• Experience with Docker, Terraform and CI/CD in regulated environments
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and platform optimisation
• Experience operating MCP servers at scale, sandboxing technologies and open-source contributions
