Overview

In this role you will shape a high-performance, distributed Java platform used in a fast-paced FX trading environment. You’ll work with traders and developers to enhance a complex, low-latency, multi-threaded system, spanning front-end trading tools, market connectors, and risk/automation components. You will tackle performance tuning and throughput challenges at scale in real-time systems. The opportunity offers a highly technical, open culture in Central London with strong earning potential.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and optimize a complex front-end trading application and related tools
  • Improve performance and throughput of low-latency systems
  • Work on market connectors and analysis tools
  • Contribute to automated trading and risk systems with real-time data
  • Collaborate with traders and developers in a fast-paced environment
Key requirements
  • 4 years commercial Java J2SE experience
  • Core Java, strong understanding of Server Side J2SE components
  • Strong OO design and architecture skills
  • Multithreading & Concurrency
  • Messaging experience (TCP, Corba, Tibco, JMS or similar)
  • Performance & Tuning
  • Collaborative team player
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Ability to work with traders and developers daily
