Overview

In this role you will contribute to the development and maintenance of a market-leading Execution Management System used by buy and sell side clients. You will work within the Trading team to enhance connectivity to partner systems, exchanges and liquidity providers using REST and FIX protocols. You’ll write high‑quality Java code, diagnose issues, deploy updates, and collaborate with peers to deliver robust solutions. This position offers exposure to trading across equities, fixed income and FX and a path for growth in a fintech environment. London base with two days remote work and global travel options available.

Responsibilities
  • Support the build and maintenance of the system
  • Write and implement high quality code
  • Update software programs
  • Identify root cause analysis of software issues
  • Deploy software tools
  • Collaborate with other developers
Key requirements
  • Core Java
  • ideally Web development with JavaScript (ReactJS or AngularJS); if not, willingness to learn
  • SQL
  • Experience with Maven, Git, TeamCity
  • Interest in building multithreaded applications
  • Bachelors / Masters degree in Computing Science or STEM background or equivalent job experience
  • 3+ years of experience
