Core Linux Engineer – Quant Trading

In this role you will help build and optimize a high-performance Linux-based platform powering complex proprietary trading systems. Responsibilities- Maintain and enhance the Linux-based infrastructure powering proprietary trading systems
- Analyse performance bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency and stability
- Develop and integrate in-house and open-source components with a focus on automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to diagnose problems and implement robust fixes
- Automate routines and tooling to reduce human error and accelerate delivery
- Troubleshoot complex system issues using advanced debugging tools
- STEM education background, ideally Computer Science
- Deep knowledge of operating systems, predominantly Linux
- Fluent on the command line and shell scripting
- Strong programming capabilities (C; Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, etc. are a plus)
- Solid understanding of networking protocols
- Experience with debugging tools such as gdb, perf, DTrace and SystemTap
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to analyse technical problems clearly and concisely
