In this role you will strengthen a high-performance Linux-driven trading platform for a global quant firm. You will collaborate with a top-tier team to build and automate core systems powering proprietary trading, applying deep OS expertise and tooling. The position emphasizes rigorous, scalable Linux engineering, with a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous experimentation. - Build and improve a best-in-class platform powering proprietary trading systems
- Automate workflows to reduce human error and enable rapid iteration
- Analyze and troubleshoot complex technical problems with clear communication
- Leverage debugging and performance tools to optimize systems and networking
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers to implement custom/in-house solutions
- Contribute to deep customization of open-source and in-house technology
- Strong STEM background, ideally Computer Science
- Deep knowledge of Linux and OS fundamentals
- Fluent command-line use and shell scripting
- Proficiency with programming concepts (C, sockets, virtual memory)
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging capabilities
- Understanding of networking protocols
- Experience with debugging tools: gdp, perf, DTrace, SystemTap
- Programming experience in Go, Python, Rust, Julia, Java, C++, Scala, Haskell or similar
- Analytical thinking
