Cost Controller, Infrastructure

Sccsinternational

Oshawa · Durham Region · Canada

Ledcor is recruiting a Cost Controller for its infrastructure business, the posting filed under Oshawa in Ontario and the advert naming Whitby as the site base. The holder reports to the Project Controls Manager and leads a team responsible for project budgeting, forecasting, risk management and earned value reporting. Claims work is named twice.

The holder supports the commercial and procurement teams on subcontractor claims assessment and claims development, and supports the management of change, including change orders, directives and claims.

The cost duties are the establishment and monitoring of project budgets, productivity tracking and financial updates, the analysis and reporting of performance metrics such as cost and schedule performance indices, and proposals for corrective action with early warning of adverse trends.

The holder implements and maintains an earned value management plan, develops the project cost controls plan and its procedures, and maintains a risk management plan with its mitigation measures. Cost and schedule data are aligned with the schedulers for earned value analysis.

The employer asks for eight years or more in project controls on large infrastructure projects with a major contractor, a degree in engineering or construction management, and experience of collaborative delivery models such as alliance or target price agreements. Primavera P6 is required, along with experience in claims prevention, negotiation and dispute resolution. The requisition is R30667.

The employer publishes an expected base pay range of 102,150 to 136,200 without naming the currency, so no salary is recorded here. No closing date is published.
