Credit Controller

Our client, a franchise-approved commercial vehicle dealer group with multiple sites nationwide, is seeking a Credit Controller for its busy head office in Westbury. • Salary from £12.71 per hour, depending on experience.
• 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm.

Duties:

• As a Credit Controller, manage customer accounts and credit limits in line with company policy.
• Monitor, review and actively pursue aged debt.
• Contact customers professionally to secure payment and resolve queries.
• Allocate incoming cash accurately and complete regular account reconciliations.
• Prioritise high-risk and overdue debts to minimise financial exposure.
• Liaise with internal departments to resolve billing and account discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
• Work closely with the Head Office Accounts Manager and a friendly accounts and administration team.

Requirements:

• The successful Credit Controller will have a strong understanding of credit control and accounts receivable.
• High accuracy when reviewing financial information and excellent attention to detail.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• A confident, professional and organised approach, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Previous automotive or commercial vehicle experience, or a relevant accountancy qualification, would be beneficial but is not essential.
• To thrive as a Credit Controller, you must be proactive, reliable and comfortable communicating with customers and internal teams.
