Cryptography Infrastructure Engineer

World Wide Technology (WWT) is looking for an experienced Cryptography Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen HSM observability across a global encryption estate protecting high-value financial transactions.

The ideal candidate combines deep HSM subject-matter expertise with hands-on engineering skill - building monitoring and alerting capabilities, working with SNMP data, and partnering with stakeholders across a large cryptographic services function.

Cryptography Infrastructure Engineer

This is a contract Role & Inside IR35

Contract Duration: 6 months

Location: Remote, UK

Key Responsibilities

• Build HSM monitoring and alerting capabilities.
• Collect and analyze HSM data via SNMP.
• Act as SME for Thales Luna and other HSMs.
• Translate stakeholder needs into design specs.
• Contribute to project documentation and roadmap.
• Flag risks early and propose solutions.

What We're Looking For

Essential:

• Hands-on expertise with Thales Luna, payShield, or nShield.
• Working knowledge of SNMP, Splunk, SSH/SSL.
• Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance frameworks.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Strong documentation skills.

Desirable:

• Windows and Linux administration experience.
• Knowledge of PKI and encryption key management.
• Industry qualifications (CISSP, CISA, CISM).

Candidates will be required to go through background checks before commencing contract.
