Cube Dev Power BI Developer

Build Cube Dev semantic models and Power BI solutions with Synechron in Mississauga, using YAML, DAX, SQL, and data modeling expertise.

This developer role requires five to ten years in business intelligence, analytics, or data development. You will create governed semantic layers, analytical models, reports, dashboards, and data integrations. The work includes Cube Dev, Power BI, Snowflake or similar platforms, security controls, and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design Cube Dev semantic models with YAML-based cube definitions
• Develop Power BI reports, dashboards, datasets, and applications
• Create DAX measures, calculated columns, KPIs, and time intelligence
• Build ETL and ELT processes using SQL and Power Query
• Troubleshoot models, refreshes, gateways, queries, and performance issues

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline
• At least four years of Power BI development experience
• Strong Cube Dev semantic modeling and YAML configuration experience
• Expertise with DAX, Power Query, SQL, and data modeling
• Experience implementing RLS, CLS, and role-based access management
