Overview

As an Implementation Engineer on the Technical Watershed team, you’ll drive customer success by translating data challenges into Watershed-enabled solutions. You will build integrations, automate workflows, and deliver insights through dashboards for client teams. You work remotely from the US or UK, collaborating with cross-functional colleagues to scale deployments and improve learning analytics. You’ll be a public-facing representative who shapes how clients realize value from Watershed.

Responsibilities
  • Client implementation: connect Watershed with client systems and tailor configuration to goals
  • Data pipelines & integrations: build and maintain data pipelines and API integrations, write scripts for data connections
  • Reporting & analysis: design dashboards and run analyses on complex datasets to inform client actions
  • Consulting & best practices: advise clients on goals and learning data ecosystems
  • Technical support & troubleshooting: assist clients and coordinate with the tech team to resolve issues and influence product changes
  • Automation and deployment: automate repetitive workflows and develop CI/CD workflows (e.g., Jenkins)
  • Core product contributions: occasionally update Watershed’s core product
  • Client relationships: act as a public-facing representative and identify expansion opportunities
  • Training: educate clients on how to use Watershed effectively
Key requirements
  • 3+ years hands-on programming experience (Python, REST APIs, data wrangling, automation tools)
  • 3+ years in a client-facing role implementing SaaS software, data science, analytics, or reporting tools
  • Proven ability to build and maintain data pipelines and system integrations
  • Ability to translate client challenges into actionable technical solutions
  • Experience with learning data, xAPI, SCORM, and JSON is a plus
  • Excellent communication, documentation, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Strong ownership, responsibility, and initiative
  • Ability to balance multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
  • Independent work style with strong team collaboration
  • Proficiency in SQL and MySQL
  • Experience with Python and Java development
  • Familiarity with Jenkins and CI/CD automation
