Job Description

Alteo is looking for a Customer Service / IT Support Specialist for a 12-month contract based in Montreal (West Island). 100% on-site.

Responsibilities:

• Be on-site Monday through Friday to greet users and visitors and address their needs.
• Draft announcements and manage their distribution to users.
• Provide first-level IT support to users (network connection, hardware, software).
• Ensure the smooth operation of multifunction copiers: resolve software installation issues, coordinate maintenance and repairs with the vendor, and provide training to new users.
• Install and configure IP phones for new users. Troubleshoot first-level issues and, if necessary, contact the telephone service provider for more complex problems.
• Manage access cards: prepare new access cards for new users, program building doors, and monitor the system’s proper functioning. Coordinate the vendor’s visits for repairs or maintenance services.
• Manage the key system: maintain the key inventory, have copies made as needed, and update the list of key holders.
• Manage meeting room reservations, program access readers to grant permissions, and ensure that the rooms are fully functional for users.
• Monitor the condition of the premises with regard to facility maintenance.

Profile:

• DEC in Computer Science or equivalent
• 2 years of experience in Level 1 IT user support
• 1 year of experience in customer service
• Excellent customer service skills; enjoys helping users
• Knowledge of computer network administration
• Knowledge of installing and configuring workstations, multifunction copiers, and IP phones
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
• Resourceful and self-reliant
• Strong communication skills
