Cyber Security Engineer

In this role you drive technology delivery across complex transformation programmes, balancing agile and traditional delivery methods. You will coordinate cross-functional teams, client stakeholders, and suppliers to deliver secure solutions on time and within budget. You’ll provide technical and functional guidance throughout design, build, testing and implementation, acting as a trusted partner to senior clients. The position emphasizes leadership, governance, and clear communication of risks and plans in a client-facing setting. • Lead end-to-end delivery of technology transformation programmes from design to implementation
• Ensure high-quality solutions delivered on time and within budget
• Develop and manage end-to-end delivery plans with milestones and dependencies
• Coordinate delivery across multiple teams and stakeholders
• Apply Agile and Waterfall methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile)
• Manage RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) throughout the lifecycle
• Collaborate with clients to align requirements and expectations
• Provide functional and technical guidance during solution design and implementation
• Oversee budgets, resources, and delivery priorities
• Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and lead delivery teams
• Communicate delivery approaches, decisions, risks and progress to technical and non-technical audiences
• Contribute to programme governance and maintain appropriate controls

• Proven experience managing technology projects or programmes end-to-end
• Strong experience with project budgets, resources and delivery plans
• Experience delivering with Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Strong risk, assumptions, issues, and dependency management
• Experience working with clients and senior stakeholders
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong organisational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities
• Experience leading technology delivery resources and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong technical understanding in areas such as Technical Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technical Design, Business Analysis, Software or technology delivery
• Proven experience delivering projects at scale using Scrum, Kanban or Scaled Agile
• Understanding of programme governance, stakeholder management and budget control
• Desirable: experience in UK public sector/health/government tech environments; cloud/SaaS certifications
• Desirable: experience in large-scale consulting environments
