Cyber Software Engineer

Salary: £37,000 - 77,000 per year

Requirements:

• We are looking for experience in software analysis and reverse engineering of compiled or interpreted code, including work with obfuscated or defensively structured code using tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro.
• We are looking for knowledge of Linux-based operating system internals, security architecture, and hardware abstraction.
• We are looking for experience using virtualisation, emulation, and containerisation for accelerated development, automated testing, and DevOps.
• We are looking for experience using and deploying AI-based systems for software development, analysis, or agentic solutions.
• We are looking for experience engineering software from design to delivery in modern IDEs and languages, using Agile delivery.
• We are looking for experience creating tested and testable code and integrating with automated verification systems, CI, and CD pipelines.
• We require you to hold or be eligible and willing to achieve DV clearance.

Responsibilities:

• We research existing and emerging technologies to understand threats, evolve capabilities, and innovate new solutions.
• We design, prototype, build, and test tools that support mission-led programmes and national security outcomes.
• We advise customers and teams as trusted technical advisors, acting with integrity.
• We work alongside one or more teams on projects across operational technology, secure systems, communications, AI, and cybersecurity.
