Cybersecurity SOC Security Advisor

Apply SIEM and threat intelligence expertise as a Cybersecurity SOC Security Advisor in Toronto, working hybrid two to three days weekly onsite. Support security operations through a six to twelve month contract.

This position requires ten or more years of experience, with an undergraduate degree or college diploma in a related field. You will manage security incidents, analyze alerts, deploy controls, and advise departments on cybersecurity risks. The work includes firewalls, anti-virus, content filtering, security orchestration, vulnerability management, and cloud security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage responses to security-related incidents under established frameworks
• Analyze, investigate, and document alerts from logs and security tools
• Deploy and manage information security controls for assigned areas
• Monitor threat intelligence feeds, forums, and mailing lists
• Act as a security advisor across various departments

Requirements:

• Ten or more years of experience required
• Undergraduate degree or related college diploma
• Five or more years of relevant experience
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR, and DLP technologies
