Overview
In this role you will define, set up, and ingest external data streams for clinical trials, ensuring alignment with protocol requirements and data protection standards. You will collaborate with data stakeholders to specify data transfer, ingestion, and structure, and translate medical concepts into actionable data mappings. You will implement transfer mechanisms, validate data via UAT, and monitor stream quality, contributing to timely study start-up and robust data capture.
Responsibilities- Deliver standardized external data streams and oversee end-to-end setup
- Assess protocol-driven data collection needs and plan stream setup to meet study timelines
- Coordinate with data stakeholders on data transfer, ingestion, and structure in compliance with data protection laws
- Create change requests for new data concepts or structures
- Develop trial-specific tsDTA documents detailing study requirements and data transfer methods
- Ensure data transfer frequencies meet study needs for medical review and reporting
- Engage with external data providers to align tsDTA terms
- Translate clinical concepts into data mapping guidance within the annotated tsDTA
- Conduct UAT to ensure data transfers align with data specifications
- Implement data transfer mechanisms into the Clinical Data Repository (CDR) with provider access
- Monitor data stream availability and accuracy; coordinate issue resolution with providers
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Computer Science
- Minimum 3 years’ experience managing data in clinical research
- Experience with external data e.g., Safety Lab, PK, Simple Biomarkers, ECG
- Experience working with external data providers in a clinical study setting
- Experience developing data transfer agreements
- Experience working on clinical trials
- Experience working in diverse, cross-functional, global teams
- Knowledge of SDTM
- Working knowledge of GCP/ICH guidelines
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English
