Overview

In this role you will shape our analytics capability by deploying Microsoft Fabric and Power BI to deliver actionable insights. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to build scalable data solutions and mentor other analysts. You will manage the full data lifecycle, from ingestion to dashboard delivery, across Fabric and Power BI. This is a hands-on position in a cutting-edge defence technology context with a focus on performance, governance and adoption of best practices. You will contribute to a modern analytics platform that informs critical decisions and supports business goals.

Responsibilities
  • Design, develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports aligned with business needs
  • Build and optimize semantic data models using star schema and DAX optimization
  • Develop and manage data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric (Dataflows Gen2, Lakehouse, Warehouse)
  • Translate stakeholder requirements into scalable data solutions and communicate insights to diverse audiences
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity and performance; contribute to Fabric architecture, governance and reusable standards
  • Provide expert coaching, mentoring and identify opportunities to improve performance, usability, scalability and adoption of best practices

Key requirements
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking with ability to derive actionable insights
  • Extensive experience with Power BI (report design, DAX, data modelling)
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric or related Azure data services (Synapse, Data Factory)
  • Proficiency in SQL, data transformation and dimensional data modeling
  • Understanding of data warehousing, lakehouse concepts, version control and deployment practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement, balancing hands-on delivery with leadership
