Overview

In this role you will build and operate production-grade reporting and analytics that translate business demand into measurable value. You will create scalable Power BI and data solutions to improve decision quality and speed. You’ll balance day-to-day reporting with forward-looking analytics, including predictive and AI-assisted insights. As a technical leader, you’ll set standards, mentor others, and raise analytics delivery quality across the team.

Responsibilities
  • Delivery of analytics products from prototype to production aligned to business priorities
  • Develop scalable data pipelines and models to support trusted reporting
  • Create reusable, well-modeled datasets and dashboards to reduce change cost
  • Define requirements in business outcomes and ensure outputs answer commercial questions
  • Drive adoption of products to reduce offline analysis and improve decision making
  • Maintain accuracy, performance and trust in day-to-day reporting (BAU)
  • Improve delivery speed via automation, standardisation and DevOps practices
  • Develop forward-looking analytics (predictive/AI-assisted analytics)
  • Provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers
Key requirements
  • BSc in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • CII qualification or progress toward it (desirable)
  • Strong communication skills translating technical concepts to business insights
  • Experience delivering data/analytics solutions in agile environments with senior autonomy
  • Advanced Power BI capability (semantic modelling, DAX, dataflows) and data visualization expertise
  • Strong SQL and data modelling skills for scalable, performant solutions
  • Experience with modern data platforms (Databricks lakehouse, Azure data ecosystem)
  • Ability to build trusted, well-governed datasets with data-quality validation
  • Proactive delivery mindset, managing priorities and stakeholder expectations
  • Understanding of analytics beyond reporting, incl. predictive analytics or machine-learning concepts
  • Insurance or financial services experience (CII desirable)
