- Create clear visualisations and reports for operational decision-making
- Explore data patterns with statistical tools to guide development
- Collaborate with data architects and engineers to ensure outputs align with architecture standards
- Support evolution of data architectures by providing analytical requirements
- Communicate findings to non-technical stakeholders to inform strategy
- Conduct exploratory analysis and prototyping of emerging data techniques
- Ensure analytics comply with security, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Document analytical processes to enable repeatability and scalability
- Perform other duties to meet programme needs
- 2+ years in a Data Analyst or similar role
- Experience in large-scale, secure data environments and digital transformation
- Knowledge of data architecture and collaboration with Agile engineering teams
- Relational and dimensional data modelling including metadata management
- Understanding of data security, governance, and MOD standards
- Strong SQL skills
- Python or R for analysis and automation
- Experience building dashboards with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools
- Advanced Excel for modelling and reporting
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) in hybrid environments
- Experience with data Lakehouse technologies (Delta Lake, Databricks)
- Willingness to travel within the UK
- Security clearance or ability to obtain (SC or above)
