Data Analyst

In this contract Data Analyst role, you will support a major nuclear build programme by improving how engineering data is managed, analysed and reported. You will build and maintain data pipelines, curate datasets, and develop dashboards to inform project delivery and senior decision-making. You will collaborate with engineering, project delivery and data governance teams to establish governed data assets and reliable reporting. You will drive automation and data quality in a highly regulated environment.

• Develop, maintain and optimise data pipelines in Databricks for engineering reporting and analytics
• Extract, transform and integrate data from multiple systems using SQL and Python
• Design and maintain curated datasets for accurate, consistent information access
• Develop and enhance Power BI dashboards and reporting to monitor performance
• Translate stakeholder reporting requirements into effective data solutions
• Support senior leadership reporting with clear analysis and visualisations
• Apply data governance to ensure data quality, consistency, traceability and compliance
• Identify opportunities to automate reporting processes and improve reliability
• Maintain documentation covering data pipelines, business rules, reporting methodologies and data models

• Strong Excel skills
• Proficiency in SQL and/or Python for data extraction, transformation and analysis
• Experience developing dashboards with Power BI
• Understanding of data integration, reconciliation and data quality management
• Knowledge of data governance principles, including consistency, traceability and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication
