Data Analyst

Overview

In this Data Analyst role, you will support onboarding, management, and maintenance of datasets used by traders and quantitative researchers. You will collaborate with data strategists, data engineers, and cross-functional teams across technology, operations, research, and risk management in a fast-paced environment. Your work will focus on profiling datasets, assessing quality, and surfacing insights to guide front-office decisions. You will help ensure data assets are well-described and discoverable, enabling global teams to work efficiently. Responsibilities

• Profile new datasets to understand content and storage needs for data engineering
• Collect and analyze data quality metrics (completeness, validity, accuracy, timeliness, consistency)
• Curate data catalog entries for discoverability of research data assets
• Engage with global front office teams to support datasets through their lifecycle and manage vendor communications
• Monitor and resolve production data issues with cross-team collaboration
• Identify opportunities to improve datasets and data management processes

• 1-2 years of relevant experience
• Foundational knowledge of financial instruments and market data symbology
• Proficiency with SQL and Python for exploratory data analysis (PySpark, pandas, Jupyter)
• Ability to document and explain complex data analysis findings
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and with others
