Data Analyst

Drug Intelligence is a leading Canadian health care data market research company with a 30+ year history. We specialize in providing relevant information, data and insights about serious and complex diseases from various therapeutic areas to our clients in the pharmaceutical industry.

As a Data Analyst at Drug Intelligence, you will be joining a dynamic team in a working environment that embraces high quality standards, initiative, creativity, and collaboration.

Salary: $70,000-75,000 annually

Key Position Responsibilities:

• Execute routine data processing tasks, including validation and transformation of data collected in a variety of formats into an analysis-ready format for other teams.
• Extract, structure, and analyze relevant information from specific data sets, both recurring and on an ad-hoc basis, to meet client needs.
• Own maintenance of existing data processes using Python and T-SQL (Azure): updating code to support new data elements and new analyses as requirements evolve and creating new data processing scripts as new projects arise.
• Build and maintain data collection forms across multiple platforms (e.g., JotForm, Qualtrics).
• Translate business and project requirements into data requirements with autonomy.
• Become a subject matter expert on existing processes and work closely with data engineers to identify and help design solutions for process improvement and automation.
• Collaborate with team members and cross-functionally on multiple simultaneous projects.

Desired Experience:

• 1-2 years of experience working as a Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or in a similar role, with strong foundational skills in Python and SQL.
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Python (including Pandas) and SQL, especially for data manipulation and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data warehousing methodologies and ETL concepts.
• Experience with Azure SQL Database or a similar cloud database platform.
• Strong project management and time management skills.
• Effective multidisciplinary problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with data collection forms (e.g., JotForm, Qualtrics) would be a plus.
