Data Analyst SQL Python Modelling

Use SQL, Python, and statistical modelling as a Data Analyst at the University of Waterloo. This is a full-time, two-year contract opportunity.

Within the Faculty of Mathematics, the Data Analyst advances data integration for decision-making and operational efficiency. You will consolidate and analyze Faculty data, develop data solutions, and communicate findings. The work involves data management, predictive modelling, reporting, and stakeholder collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain accurate, consistent, compliant Faculty data
• Develop Python scripts and dimensional models
• Analyze data using advanced statistical techniques
• Create forecasts, predictive models, and visualizations
• Communicate recommendations through reports and presentations

Requirements:

• Degree in computer science, statistics, mathematics, or related discipline
• Three-plus years in data management and analytics
• Proven SQL, R, Python, or equivalent experience
• Knowledge of statistical packages, ETL methods, and visual analytics
• Strong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills
