Data Analyst – Visualisation

• Visualise operational performance and risk using Power BI and other visualisation tools
• Develop reports with user experience in mind and gather feedback for continuous improvement
• Champion Cyber Security and GDPR compliance within Water Supply and the analyst community
• Act as Power BI and visualisation expert for Water Supply, ensuring reporting adheres to standards
• Support automated reporting and visualise risks across team boundaries
• Provide feedback to stakeholders to drive action plans and improvements
• Ensure reporting drives outcomes and deliverables
• Escalate identified operational and business risks appropriately
• Establish data ownership and verify business acceptance of data sources
• Develop performance measures to support maintenance reporting
• Support teams with visual reporting to track mitigation efforts and emerging threats
• Analyse datasets to identify patterns, trends and risks
• Engage with operational colleagues and subject matter experts to support performance analytics

Requirements

• Level 3 equivalent in Data Science or Data Analytics
• Strong operational knowledge of abstraction, treatment, transmission and storage of potable water
• Experienced user of Power BI and data visualisation development
• Appropriate professional qualification (e.g. CIWEM) advantageous
• Experience in assessing risk and responding appropriately
• Excellent IT skills including SAP, IRIS, Oracle
• Good communication skills and ability to effectively deal with a range of stakeholders
• Ability to prioritise workload and adapt to operational demands
• Proven leadership and team enablement skills
• Highly developed analytical and strategic thinking skills
