Data Analytics Co-op Business Analyst

Turn business needs into practical data solutions as a Business Analyst Co-op Student supporting Teck’s Data & Analytics team in hybrid Vancouver.

This eight-month temporary full-time placement offers hands-on exposure to data operations, governance, business analysis, and partner engagement. You will collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements, support data quality, and strengthen how information is managed. Teck’s downtown Vancouver office brings together corporate functions supporting essential resources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand data-related needs, challenges, and requirements with stakeholders
• Participate in workshops with business stakeholders and data owners
• Support governance process improvements and ways of working
• Assist data quality requirements and remediation activities
• Complete additional analysis and project activities as opportunities arise

Requirements:

• Study Computer Science, Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related fields
• Curiosity about data with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Communicate complex information clearly in writing and verbally
• Collaborate comfortably with business and technical partners
• Return to studies for at least one academic term afterward
