Data Analytics Intern

We’re recruiting a Data Analytics Intern on behalf of one of our clients. This internship is ideal for students, recent graduates, and aspiring data analysts who want to strengthen their analytical capabilities and gain hands‑on experience solving real-world business problems with data.

The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals and be involved in the full analytics lifecycle: data collection, cleaning, analysis, visualization, reporting, dashboard creation, and translating insights into actionable recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, clean, transform, and structure data from multiple sources.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
• Analyze datasets to derive meaningful, business‑relevant insights.
• Write SQL queries to extract, filter, join, and analyze data.
• Use Python and its data libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy) for analysis and manipulation.
• Build reports, charts, and visualizations to clearly communicate findings.
• Support the design, development, and maintenance of analytical dashboards.
• Detect data quality issues and assist with data validation efforts.
• Examine business and operational data to highlight areas for improvement.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and other important business metrics.
• Contribute to regular reporting cycles and data‑driven decision‑making processes.
• Perform statistical analyses as needed.
• Convert business questions into clear analytical requirements.
• Document methodologies, analyses, findings, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, Business Analysts, and cross‑functional teams.
• Present insights in a clear, concise, and stakeholder‑friendly manner.
• Keep up to date with advancements in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, AI, and Data Visualization.

Technical Skills

Candidates should have familiarity with some of the following:

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or a related discipline .
• Understanding of fundamental data analytics concepts.
• Basic to intermediate proficiency in SQL and/or Python.
• Familiarity with Excel and data manipulation.
• Understanding of statistics and analytical techniques.
• Basic knowledge of data visualization and reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to manage tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Academic or personal projects involving Data Analytics or Business Intelligence.
• Experience working with real‑world datasets.
• Familiarity with Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience creating dashboards or analytical reports.
• Familiarity with SQL databases.
• Knowledge of statistical analysis.
• Experience with Excel‑based data analysis.
• A portfolio, dashboard, GitHub repository, or project work demonstrating practical skills is an advantage.
