Data & Analytics Manager, Insurance

Arthur is partnering with a leading global insurance organisation to appoint a Data & Analytics Manager within its UK business.

This is a senior leadership role heading up the Pricing & Analytics team , with a broad remit across Data, Analytics, MI, Pricing and Data Governance .

The role would suit someone who combines strong insurance Data & Analytics experience with a good understanding of pricing, underwriting and portfolio performance , particularly across Personal Lines, Delegated Authority, MGA or intermediary distributed insurance.

The Role

• Lead and develop the Pricing & Analytics team
• Own and enhance MI dashboards, analytics and management reporting
• Provide insight across underwriting, pricing, product and portfolio performance
• Oversee pricing and performance analysis across Delegated Authority insurance products , including commission analysis
• Review and challenge pricing models, product definitions and analytical methodologies
• Drive improvements across Data Quality, Data Governance and Data Management
• Partner with Underwriting and Product teams to turn complex data into meaningful commercial insight
• Provide analytical and pricing input into new product development, approval and ongoing product reviews

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who understands insurance data and analytics in a commercial and pricing context , rather than a purely technical Data Manager.

Ideally, you'll bring:

• Strong Data, Pricing or Analytics experience within insurance
• Good understanding of insurance pricing and pricing models , with the ability to review and challenge pricing methodologies
• Experience analysing underwriting, product and portfolio performance
• Previous experience leading an Analytics, Pricing, MI, BI or Data team
• Strong understanding of Data Governance and Data Quality
• Experience developing and improving MI dashboards and management reporting
• Experience within Personal Lines, Delegated Authority, MGA or intermediary distributed insurance would be particularly relevant
• Hands on knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, SQL, Python and/or R
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate analytical findings to Underwriting, Product and senior leadership
