Data Analytics Manager - Risk & Controls

In this role, you will shape how data drives security and risk management at Wise. You will build and scale data pipelines, enabling continuous control monitoring within a compliant, secure framework. You’ll measure control effectiveness and translate insights into strategic improvements with cross-functional partners. Manage 1–2 analysts and help define the data strategy for the Risk pillar, contributing to Wise’s mission of secure, borderless financial services. • Scale and improve risk data infrastructure for granular metric analysis and proactive risk mitigation
• Build, monitor, and optimise dashboards and controls, supporting control testing
• Establish efficiency frameworks to balance risk reduction with growth
• Collaborate with product, engineering, risk, and compliance to influence decisions using data
• Partner with Security/Cyber Security to monitor and manage local and infra risk typologies
• Translate compliance/testing requirements into measurable metrics, SLAs, and monitoring dashboards
• Identify opportunities to enhance compliance processes and drive efficiency
• Ensure dashboards/controls remain accurate post-launch and address data issues
• Develop and maintain data pipelines using Python, REST APIs, DBT, and Airflow
• Manage and mentor 1–2 analysts across security and risk domains

• 6+ years of experience
• Proficient in SQL
• Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Superset, PowerBI, or Tableau)
• Experience building data pipelines with DBT and Airflow for ETL
• Skilled with REST APIs for data integrations
• Bonus: knowledge of security frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST) and CCM
