Overview

In this role you will lead the data and analytics practice for client onboarding and ongoing engagements, coordinating cross-disciplinary teams to deliver measurable outcomes. You’ll act as a strategic advisor to clients, shaping data-driven marketing, martech, AI, and analytics solutions. The role combines leadership, business development, and hands-on solution design within a hybrid, collaborative culture. You’ll drive client success and help scale VML’s data and analytics offerings.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and lead a client-focused data, technology and business consulting team during onboarding and ongoing delivery
  • Direct and motivate the team to achieve goals and deliver high-quality work for clients
  • Act as strategic advisor to leverage data, martech, analytics, and AI to meet client goals
  • Develop data & analytics consulting proposals and roadmaps including data, AI, martech, adtech, and operating model components
  • Design analytics and data science solutions (customer analytics, digital analytics, BI, AI) and enable client adoption
  • Inspire clients and staff with thought leadership and best practices
  • Collaborate with clients to diagnose challenges, define a data/AI vision, and implement it
  • Drive client success and satisfaction across engagements
  • Lead new business outreach as the data/analytics lead for pitches and proposals
  • Identify opportunities for growth with existing clients and expand data offerings
Key requirements
  • Extensive experience leading data and analytics in a consulting/agency setting
  • Strong belief in data-driven marketing and AI to deliver results
  • Proven ability to manage relationships from junior staff to C-suite
  • Ability to unify diverse teams behind a common brief and goals
  • Excellent presentation and active listening skills to translate client needs into actions
  • Passion for data-driven marketing and keeping up with trends
  • Significant experience scoping, resourcing, and developing commercial proposals
  • Knowledge of data/analytics technologies across marketing, media, CRM, loyalty, and digital platforms
  • Awareness of AI applications in marketing and a technical analytics background is advantageous
  • Experience in data strategy, governance, roadmapping and use-case development
  • Understanding of marketing tech—data cloud, CDPs, marketing automation, CRM, analytics tools
  • Knowledge of marketing operations, governance, and change management
