Overview

In this role you will support the full data lifecycle to maximise value from data across Galliford Try. You will build and maintain data pipelines, storage, and modelling to enable reporting, analytics, and AI-powered insights. You’ll work with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical designs, while championing central data standards and best practices. You join a cross-functional data team with a focus on scalable, secure data solutions that empower the business. Responsibilities
  • Develop data pipelines to ingest data from multiple sources into the data platform
  • Design and implement database architectures, schemas and data quality controls
  • Create ETL processes to transform data for reporting and analytics
  • Build interactive dashboards to enable self-service insights
  • Leverage analytics and ML techniques to add value and enable AI-related work
  • Promote and apply central data standards and provide guidance to practitioners
  • Contribute to ways of working by proposing improvements and new opportunities
Key requirements
  • Ability to gather and document business requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into technical designs and solutions
  • Experience in high-level and low-level design documentation
  • Strong understanding of database architecture and data modelling
  • Proficiency in T-SQL, DAX, M Language, and Python
  • Solid experience with Microsoft data stack (Azure data services or Microsoft Fabric)
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and project leadership capability
