In this role you will design and deliver advanced data solutions for a large, multi-brand retailer, enabling scalable, high-performance data platforms. Responsibilities
  • Design and build leading-edge data solutions and models in collaboration with Product Owners and Engineering
  • Triager and assess new requirements; estimate impact on data models
  • Develop and enhance business physical data models; maintain alignment with end-state architecture
  • Act as custodian of data models; define and own modelling standards within delivery teams
  • Document, communicate, and centrally manage data models
  • Collaborate with the wider architecture community to promote alignment and innovation across Tech
  • Apply data warehousing/analytic end-to-end thinking and ensure canonical modelling and publishing service considerations
  • Support the use of modern techniques (e.g., machine learning) at scale to drive data design best practices
Key requirements
  • Experience with semi-structured, high-volume data (ideally in Digital tagging or Analytics)
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on experience in DV 2.0 and Kimball dimensional data modelling
  • Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical data modelling distinctions
  • Experience in a matrix reporting structure
  • Ability to serve as Architecture custodian for a squad and uphold standards
  • Knowledge of Data products and ELT pipeline design
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Curiosity and drive to understand business processes
  • Collaborative mindset and ability to work with cross-functional teams
  • Data Warehousing / Analytic end-to-end architecture
  • Modelling methodologies: 3NF, Dimensional, Data Vault
  • Canonical modelling; publication service/microservice-based schematic design
