Data Business Analyst

In this contract role, you will bridge business requirements and data delivery to support decision-making in a major transformation programme. You’ll analyse data flows and reporting to ready requirements for the Data Lake and work closely with data teams. You’ll document AS-IS data landscapes, validate assumptions with stakeholders, and translate business needs into actionable specifications for modellers and engineers. The role combines hands-on data analysis with strong stakeholder facilitation in an agile context, offering impact on data provisioning at scale.

• Stakeholder engagement with Source SMEs to understand data structures and usage
• AS-IS documentation of current data flows and reporting landscapes with validation
• Requirements analysis and elaboration to translate epics into detailed specs for data modellers and engineers
• Data mapping and analysis to support target models and traceability
• Data model alignment to the Common Data Model across base and semantic layers

• SQL capability
• strong experience in source system analysis
