Data Center Technician

Job Title: Data Center Technician
Duration: 6 Months
Location: Varennes, QC
Pay Range: $22-$26/HR CAD

Day to day responsibilities

• Propose and implement cost-effective, sustainable operational improvements.
• Conduct detailed technical inspections to ensure equipment performance, health, and safety.
• Collaborate with global teams to maintain client data center reliability standards.
• Work on generators – inspections, checking oil fuel.
• Preventative maintenance on a monthly basis.
• Familiar with automatic switch transfer.
• Monthly maintenance of air handling units – understand how evap mode works, how air handling works, how it cools down equipment.
• Controlled air handling units.

Must-haves

• 1 year of experience or a master's degree in electrical or engineering.
• Knowledge of electrical systems (low and medium voltage) and mechanical systems (HVAC, cooling/heating, medium voltage systems, ventilation, transfer switches, breakers, bus bars, generators, control modules, PLCs – programmable logic controller, relays, instrumentation concepts).
• Strong communication skills in English and French.
• First Aid training completed in Quebec (must be certified) – can be completed first month after joining.
