Data Director

As Director of Data & Digital Intelligence, lead the enterprise-wide data transformation to a trusted, AI-ready data platform that supports strategic decisions and growth. You will shape the data strategy, modernise legacy systems, and foster a data-driven culture across senior leadership. This role combines technology, business strategy and transformation to deliver measurable value at scale. You will enable AI adoption and data products, driving significant business impact.

• Define and execute the enterprise data strategy and roadmap
• Migrate from fragmented legacy platforms to a modern cloud-based data ecosystem
• Adopt a product-led approach to data for reuse and scalable delivery
• Build a secure, scalable GCP-based data platform with ingestion, transformation, observability, security and FinOps
• Establish data governance, improve data quality and metadata management
• Accelerate AI, machine learning and automation adoption with governance
• Partner with business leaders to identify opportunities and measure value
• Lead and develop data engineering, analytics, governance and platform teams
• Shape supplier and partner strategy across the data function
• Promote data literacy and accountability across the organisation

• Senior leadership experience delivering large-scale enterprise data transformation
• Proven track record modernising complex legacy data environments
• Experience leading major cloud data platform programmes (ideally GCP)
• Strong expertise in data governance, quality, metadata and operating models
• Experience enabling AI and analytics adoption
• Demonstrable success delivering measurable business value through data and technology
• Exceptional stakeholder management and executive influencing capability
• Strategic thinking with deep understanding of data architectures and data product operating models
• Experience leading large, complex transformation portfolios
• Ability to lead through matrix structures and diverse delivery teams
