Data Engineer

AMS is supporting a leading global consulting firm in hiring an experienced Data Engineer for an initial 12-month contract. (Offices in London/Birmingham/Bristol)

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain reliable data pipelines using Python and SQL.
• Extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources into databases and data warehouses.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality checks to ensure accurate and reliable data.
• Troubleshoot data issues and resolve pipeline failures efficiently.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver effective data solutions and improve data processes.

Essential Criteria

• Strong experience using Python for data processing and automation.
• Strong knowledge of SQL , including writing complex queries and data manipulation.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to investigate and resolve data-related issues.

This is a client facing environment so excellent collaboration and communication skills with teams and clients alike, is imperative.

We will only accept workers operating via an Umbrella or PAYE engagement model.
