Overview
As a Core Data Engineer, you will help deliver Connells Group Reporting Data, shaping architecture, modelling and pipelines to enable accurate group-wide reporting. You’ll partner with technical specialists to extend data capabilities and support strategic decision-making across brands and business units. The role combines data design, ingestion, and quality control within a collaborative, agile team. Hybrid work is available with one day on-site weekly, offering a meaningful impact in a data-driven real estate environment.

- Apply best practices for data design to ensure scalable, high-quality architecture and modelling.
- Provide timely root-cause analysis and resolution within SLA.
- Collaborate with Core Data Lead to align team work with business objectives.
- Define, develop, and enhance the Common Data Model with Reporting Engineers.
- Design and optimise data ingestion from multiple sources.
- Maintain the Common Data Model for organisation-wide consistency.
- Apply Agile principles for iterative development.
- Ensure data pipeline quality, reliability and performance; implement monitoring.
- Proven Data Engineering experience with Python, Data Modelling, and Data Warehousing.
- Hands-on Spark, SQL and Delta Lake experience; cloud development (Azure / Fabric).
- Knowledge of Medallion Architecture; skilled in building and supporting pipelines in demanding environments.
- Strong communication and ability to present technical concepts clearly; proactive in learning and standards.
- Ability to work under pressure in complex environments using legacy and modern tech.
