Overview

As a Data Engineer in Capital on Tap’s Data Platform, you will design and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to deliver high-quality data across the organisation. You will work with cross-functional teams to enable data-driven decision making and model deployment at scale. You’ll own data flow, security, and delivery architecture in Snowflake, while building robust CI/CD and monitoring. Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure using Python for transformations, API integrations, and orchestration
  • Manage data platforms with Kubernetes for deployment, orchestration, and scaling
  • Own data flow and security in Snowflake for global operations and data science workloads
  • Build CI/CD pipelines with GitHub for testing, deployment, and version control
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Data Science, and Analytics Engineering to deliver high-impact data solutions
  • Ensure data quality, reliability, and observability through monitoring, alerting, and testing
Key requirements
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer building scalable data platforms and pipelines
  • Deep Snowflake experience, including dynamic data masking and row-level security
  • Strong Python skills for data engineering, scripting, and automation
  • Strong SQL and data warehousing concepts
  • Experience with GitHub, CI/CD, and collaborative development
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Datadog, and ML model deployments is a plus
