Overview

In this role you will help Cognizant's IMS AI & Analytics practice deliver data engineering on large digital transformation programs in the UK & Ireland. You will design and implement data integration into cloud data platforms, develop applications, and ensure security and quality. You will work with cross-functional teams to translate client objectives into scalable data solutions, contributing to AI at scale initiatives. This position offers exposure to leading cloud tools and a clear path to grow across the problem space.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and analyse user requirements
  • Prioritize, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
  • Develop new applications
  • Write well-designed, efficient code
  • Review, test and debug team members’ code
  • Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date
Key requirements
  • Work experience as a Core Java Developer or similar role
  • Experience designing, building and testing Java applications
  • In-depth knowledge of popular Java frameworks like JSF and Spring MVC
  • Good time management skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP data tools (see below) - not required as a single item but expected familiarity
