Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of core infrastructure components on Sybase, DB2, MSSQL, and new platforms like MongoDB, Snowflake, and Azure SQL.
  • Engage in database engineering projects and strategic RDBMS product evaluations.
  • Participate in performance optimization, testing, platform migration, and version upgrades.
  • Operate in a fast-paced Agile environment ensuring quality and resiliency.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Intermediate knowledge of development and performance optimization on major RDBMS and NoSQL (MongoDB) technologies.
  • Proficiency in scripting with Python.
  • Basic knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts.
  • Experience with version control, preferably with GIT.
  • Knowledge of ETL products such as Talend or Informatica.
  • Familiarity with replication and Agile practices.
  • Experience working in geographically dispersed teams.
  • Integrity, ownership, and motivation to expand technical and business knowledge.
