Data Engineer

As a Data Engineer at Roke, you will build and optimize data pipelines and analytics for National Security customers. You will transform diverse data sources into actionable insights, enabling downstream analytics and reporting. You’ll collaborate with customers and cross-functional teams to solve mission-critical challenges using distributed compute techniques on large datasets. You will contribute to secure, scalable data solutions and promote reusable, open-by-default code. This is a growth-focused role in a trusted NS domain supplier, offering exposure to AI/DS, cyber, cloud, and platform engineering initiatives.

• Data pipeline development: ingestion and orchestration design
• Data integration: consolidate and enrich data with quality controls
• Data analytics: derive actionable intelligence from data
• Data security: implement protections for sensitive information
• Data systems: monitor performance and optimise/updates
• Scrum assistance: help decompose user requests into epics and stories
• Software quality: write clean, secure code with test-driven development
• Code reuse: create open and reusable components

• Experience with Big Data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, or Pig)
• AWS experience
• Apache NiFi experience
• Python or Java proficiency
• DV clearance eligibility
