Data Engineer

In this Data Engineer role, you will build and maintain a foundational data warehouse that powers analytics, ML, and partner data products. You’ll transform raw data into trusted, business-ready datasets through scalable ELT/ETL pipelines and robust data quality controls. You’ll work in an agile, cross-functional environment to deliver secure, scalable data feeds that support decision-making across the organisation. This is a hands-on role with impact on data architecture, performance, and governance, enabling data-driven outcomes.

• Build and maintain the core data warehouse powering analytics, ML, and partner data products
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ELT/ETL pipelines
• Develop and optimise dimensional and analytical data models
• Create reusable data transformation logic using modern software engineering practices
• Implement automated data quality checks, monitoring, and testing frameworks
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, product teams, and platform engineers to deliver datasets
• Monitor and optimise pipeline performance for efficiency and resilience
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering standards
• Produce clear documentation and share knowledge across the team

• Proven experience developing ELT/ETL pipelines and dbt
• Strong SQL skills and programming familiarity with Python/SQL
• Hands-on experience with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with clear communication and collaboration
• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience
• Solid understanding of core data concepts including storage, transformation, and analysis
