Data Engineer

In this role you will own data journeys from source to decision-ready outputs, building pipelines, modelling data, and delivering dashboards for investment and asset teams. You will work in OEGEN’s Data, Tech & Transformation Team to move from legacy systems to an AI-driven, data-centric operating model. You’ll contribute to scalable data platforms and internal tooling that empower cross-functional teams. This is a hands-on role with a meaningful impact on how data informs investment decisions and asset management.

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines in Databricks
• Own and evolve Databricks models including schemas and testing
• Automate manual data processes using Python
• Build dashboards and reports in Streamlit and HTMX (FastAPI) used by Finance and Asset Management
• Integrate internal and third-party systems via REST APIs
• Champion data quality with validation, monitoring, and governance
• Collaborate with non-technical teams to translate problems into data solutions

• Strong SQL and Python skills used for pipelines, modelling, and automation
• Experience with modern data stack tooling: Databricks, Git/GitHub
• Understanding of data modelling, warehousing patterns, ETL/ELT design
• Comfort with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
• Clear communication to explain data models to non-technical stakeholders
