Client: Citi – Data Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Ab Initio Metadata Hub development, data lineage, metadata management, reference data development, data analytics, relational databases, and programming . The successful candidate will work on data warehousing and ETL processes while contributing to application development and SDK development activities.

Key Requirements

• At least 4+ years of application Ab Initio Metadata Hub development experience.


• Strong understanding of Data Lineage, metadata management, reference data development, and data analytics.


• Good knowledge of relational databases such as Oracle, SQL, and PL/SQL.


• Strong knowledge in one or more of the following areas:




• Data lineage.


• Application development.


• Python or Java coding experience.




• Hands-on experience with any coding language and tool-based configuration and prior experience in this area.


• Experience with the full Software Development Kit (SDK) development cycle.


• Pragmatic problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.


• Proficiency in Ab Initio Hub or Python programming languages.


• Proficiency with one or more of the following programming languages/technologies:




• Java


• API


• Python




• 2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.

Technical Skills

Ab Initio & Metadata Management

• 4+ years of application Ab Initio Metadata Hub development experience.


• Strong understanding of data lineage.


• Experience with metadata management.


• Experience with reference data development.


• Knowledge of Ab Initio Hub.

Database & Data Engineering

• Strong knowledge of relational databases.


• Experience with Oracle.


• Strong knowledge of SQL / PL/SQL.


• Understanding of data warehousing and ETL processes.


• Knowledge of data analytics.

Programming & Application Development

• Proficiency in Python or Ab Initio Hub.


• Proficiency with one or more of:




• Java


• API


• Python




• Application development experience.


• Hands-on experience with coding languages and tool-based configuration.


• Full SDK development cycle experience.

Work Arrangement

This is a full-time onsite Data Engineer position with Citi based in Mississauga, ON, Canada.

The role involves working with data warehousing and ETL processes , providing an opportunity to further develop technical skills and contribute to projects involving metadata, data lineage, application development, databases, and analytics.
